Hawai`i Context COVID-19
Curricular Modules and Videos

Header for Educator Video Page.png

The Pacific Alliance Against COVID-19 (PAAC) Team understands that educators in our classrooms and communities have many roles that they play.  As educators ourselves, the PAAC Education Team has created interdisciplinary curricular content that not only addresses the issues and content connected to the pandemic itself, but also examines the historical context not just here in Hawai`i but through an Oceanic lens.  In this way, the content that has been created can support a wide range of educators, and community members who want to use relevant, compelling content that has implications towards addressing the issues of social justice related to the health disparities connected to the pandemic.

How can our classrooms be a pathway towards equalizing the playing field when it comes to community health and total well being?  Educators who care about their students and families want to ensure that they are able to stay informed through trusted partnerships.  Thus the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa John A. Burns School of Medicine, has partnered with the University of Hawai`i College of Education to create curricular modules to build a connection between schools, students, families and the community at large.  In addition this partnership also extends to connecting families to public health services, including those provided by the AHARO Community Health Centers.

Educators:  You are greatly appreciated!
